
	Royal Visits to the UBC Campus On 7th October 2002, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh visited the University of British Columbia campus as part of the golden jubilee celebrations commemorating the Queen's 50-year reign. This marked the fourth visit to the University for the royal couple who came here previously in 1951, 1959 and 1983.
